IP Telefony VOIP -swyx logo Phone systems

VoIP (voice over internet protocol) is the use of part of the broadband (internet) line for the transmission of voice (sound). This is possible because data information (internet) and voice transmission use different "bands" within broadband.

There are many cost advantages using VoIP telephony, e.g. the cost of only one single network for voice and data transmission saves on capital expenditure in installation, and operating cost savings arise as a result of lowering transmission costs and greater productivity as call handling is more efficient.

When should I consider using IP Telephony?

Particularly if any of the following criteria apply.

  • The leasing contract for our traditional telephone system expires
  • We would like an in-house call centre
  • Our telephone system has reached is expiation or capability limits
  • We need to significantly improve the call completion rate and satisfaction for our calling customers
  • We would like to run calls directly from our Customer Database / CRM package
  • Our company’s offices are connected via a VPN, can we not make telephone calls on this?
  • We would like to implement automatic call handling
  • We would like to make telephone system changes without requiring a service technician
  • We want cost savings and need to improve our competitiveness
Implementing a Swyx flexible IP Telephony Solution can achieve all the above.
