POLARIS Broadband
Polaris Telecoms provide a business grade broadband service using Datastream provisioning.
The "Polaris Broadband" service is principally aimed at small medium sized businesses (SME's) and organisations and SOHO (Small Office Home Office) workers.
How does this differ from budget ISP services? The simplest way to explain this is to draw an analogy. Polaris business grade broadband is like a car cruising at a constant and uninterrupted 70 mph, along an uncrowded motorway. Compare this to a queue of cars crawling down a crowded country lane, stuck behind a farm tractor and trailer; the tractor pulls into a field and the cars can speed up, only to find a flock of sheep round the next bend, trotting along the lane; they disappear into another field and the traffic speeds up again until they meet another queue of cars trying to negotiate their way around a lorry that has shed its load - and so on.
Businesses don't usually need download speeds of 8Mb; the delivery of data at lower Datastream speeds is, in fact, provided at a consistent and reliable rate and effectively faster.
